We have been invited to sing again in the marquee on the Den, for Teignmouth Carnival Week. We will be singing on Sunday 24th July, from 2-2.45pm.
Please come along and listen. This will be our last public event of the summer.
Summer Concert at the Pavilions
Our debut performance at the Pavilions, postponed due to the pandemic, took place on Saturday 11th June.
We had a great evening, and the performance was well received by all. A review can be found on our News page.
Thursday 23rd June: St Michael’s Flower Festival
It was good to see so many listening to us and enjoying the beautiful displays of flowers in the church.
PLATINUM JUBILIEE CELEBRATIONS
We were honoured to sing ‘A Life Lived With Grace’ at the lighting of the beacon on Thursday 2nd June, on Teignmouth promenade.
This is a specially commissioned piece, which many choirs sang across the UK.
‘A Life Lived With Grace’, (Lyricist: Lucy Kiely, Music: Vincent Atueyi Chinemelu) is a melodic piece, written in tribute to The Queen. The chorus reflects: ‘A life lived with grace, a heart filled with love, peace on earth and harmony in the heavens above.’
On Sunday 5th June, as part of the celebrations, we also sang in the marquee on the Den.
Our performance was well received by the audience, and provided a ‘taster’ for our Summer Charity Concert at the Pavilions.
There are some video recordings of the performance on our Gallery page.
We were happy to participate in two outdoor festive events, both in the Triangle. The first was leading the singing of Christmas carols at 5pm on Saturday 4th December. Then on Saturday 11th December, sang a variety of festive songs, from 2.30-3pm. A brief review is on our News page.
Teignmouth Lights Switch On
This was a great start to the season of goodwill. As part of a day of activities in Teignmouth Triangle, we sang five traditional carols to those waiting for the light switch on.
Family Christmas Concert
(St Michael’s Church, 2.30-4.30pm on Saturday 7th December)
This was our second Christmas Family Concert, and was a delightful afternoon of Christmas songs. A great start to the festive season. There is a review on our News Page.
Teignmouth URC Candlelight Carol Service

Saturday 15th June 2019:
Teignmouth Sings 10th Anniversary Concert, held at The Riviera. A review is on our News page.
We also performed at St Michael’s Church as part of their Flower Festival, which this year had a ‘Musicals’ theme.
We sang at The Afternoon of Choirs in the marquee on The Den, for Teignmouth Carnival Week. Our thirty minute session was much appreciated by the audience, and included a medley and popular songs from the musicals, interspersed with pop classics. An a capella ‘Something Inside So Strong’ was our closing piece.
Please contact us if you would like Teignmouth Sings to perform at your event.
