Teignmouth Sings is a community choir; there’s no audition needed.
Due to our popularity, membership is now at almost full capacity and our waiting list is closed, until September 2020. We may have vacancies in the Tenor and Bass sections, if you are able to sing in either of these (women or men). In order for new members to gain the most from their experience, it is recommended that they start their membership at the beginning of term, in September or January.
All ages are welcome (16+ years), and we’re always keen to welcome both males and females to the choir. Singing is great fun, good for your soul, and you’ll meet lots of new friends.
Annual membership, from September to August, costs just £15, pro rata for new members. We also make a ‘one off’ charge of £10 to new members, for their music file. The costs of all music is then covered by the annual membership fee.
We meet every Monday at the United Reformed Church, Dawlish Road, Teignmouth (see the red marker on the map below). Rehearsals are from 7.30-9.30pm, with a short break of fifteen minutes at 8.30pm. We are encouraged to arrive by 7.15pm, so that we are ready to sing from 7.30pm. To cover expenses, each session costs £3, although a total of only £30 per term is charged if payment is made in advance (this works out cheaper!) Your first two ‘taster’ sessions are free of charge!
There’s plenty of car parking just across the road in the East Cliff Car Park (free after 6pm).
